GreenStrength · oil absorbents

Master rolls

Sorbent by the metre. Cut what the job needs — production lines, walkways, under-equipment runs — from a roll that lives beside the work instead of a box of pads that never quite fits the shape.

Inside the roll

How it is built

The same sorbent web that becomes the pads, wound on a core instead of cut and welded. Tap a part to see what it does.

  • Meltblown sorbent web — the same oil-only media as the pads, by the metre
    • Absorbs up to 22× its weight in oil — validated by a certified third-party lab
    • Oil-only: picks up hydrocarbons, leaves the water behind
    • 100% virgin polypropylene — extruded on our own line
    • Cut to the geometry of the job instead of the shape of a pad
  • Wound on a core — 16″ × 150′ and 28″ × 300′ as standard
    • Two standard widths; other slit widths run on the same line
    • Sits beside the work — pull and cut what the run needs
    • The format converters and spill-kit assemblers buy to make their own products

Pads are two of these webs ultrasonically welded together — see the pad construction · Ask for a slit width

What it is

Rolls exist because spills are not pad-shaped. A run of leaking conveyor, a walkway beside a press, the length of a machine base — you cut the sorbent to the geometry of the problem and cover the whole thing in one piece.

It is also the cheapest way to buy the media by area, which is why maintenance stores and cut-to-length converters take it in roll form and make their own formats from it.

Specification

Sizes16″ × 150′ · 28″ × 300′
Media100% virgin polypropylene meltblown
AbsorbencyUp to 22× its own weight, oil-only
BehaviourOleophilic and hydrophobic — takes oil, repels water
Custom widthsAvailable — we slit on our own line

Slit widths outside the standard two are quoted from the same line — ask and we will run your width.

Custom sizes and private-label packaging are available — the line is ours, so the format is yours.

Where it goes to work

  • Production lines and conveyor runs
  • Walkways and traffic aisles
  • Under-equipment and machine bases
  • Maintenance stores that cut their own formats
  • Long-run containment during shutdowns
  • Converters and spill-kit assemblers

How to use it

  1. Set the roll at the head of the run and pull off the length you need.
  2. Cut to fit the geometry — around bases, along aisles, under drip zones.
  3. Replace saturated sections without pulling the whole run.
  4. Dispose of the used sorbent in line with your local regulations for hydrocarbon-contaminated waste.
